Spicy Cheese Slices

Let’s make some super easy spicy vegan cheese sandwich slices!

Note: this recipe will be SPICY! Please adjust the seasonings according to your preferred level of spice and to your own liking!

Ingredients:
—1 can (13.5 oz) full fat coconut milk
—1-2 tbs nutritional yeast (or to taste)
—1/2-1 tbs garlic powder
—1/2-1 tbs onion powder
—1/4-1/2 tbs salt
—dash or sugar (optional)
—1/4 tbs ground pepper
—1/2 tbs spicy red pepper flakes
—1/2 tbs smoked paprika
—freshly ground black pepper flakes to taste (optional)
—2 tbs plant butter (optional)
—2 tbs agar agar
—a pinch of lactic acid (or more to taste) (optional) (this will create the “sour” taste associated with some cheeses if you fancy that)

Instructions:
1. Add your ingredients to a pot/pan, mix them, and taste-test them. Adjust the seasonings to your liking at this stage.
2. Boil the mixture over medium-high heat for 6 minutes, stirring constantly with a whisk.
3. Transfer the mixture to a square or rectangular container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
4. Slice.
5. Enjoy!
